About the role

The Problem Solver and Trainer performs all of the tasks of a Fulfillment Specialist in the warehouse including, but not limited to: picking, packing, shipping, receiving, put away, cycle counting, loading and unloading trailers, making boxes, palletizing product, and labeling items.

More importantly, the Problem Solver and Trainer is also responsible for training new Fulfillment Specialists to meet accuracy, quality, and productivity goals and performing various problem solve activities including move inventory, defect analysis and prevention, and the identification and implementation of process improvements.

The Problem Solver and Trainer escalates all issues to the management team, including team members that require additional training, the recurrence of defects, and performance below Mochila’s safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

A Mochila Problem Solver and Trainer must be able to perform all the responsibilities of a Fulfillment Specialist, plus the following additional responsibilities:

  • Training new team members.
  • Cycle count and move inventory as directed to optimize efficiency and inventory accuracy.
  • Actively identify, suggest, and implement process improvements to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Diagnose and correct product defects.
  • Provide process assistance to supervisors for shipments with more complex packaging such as shipments requiring re-tagging, hangers, or gift wrap and for product inspections.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in process standards related to safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Continuous walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and handling in a warehouse environment, including regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Ability to walk an average of 16 kilometers daily.
  • Lifting of up to 22 kgs.
  • Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending stairs and ladders safely and without limitation).
  • Ability to select orders and replenish stock.
  • Ability to identify items on all paperwork including, but not limited to customer orders, bills of lading, manifests, packing lists, stock receipts, and customer labels.
  • Ability to work in a distribution environment that may be noisy, unheated, not air-conditioned.
  • Comfortable using computerized inventory controls systems.
  • Communicates with supervisors and other Fulfillment Specialists.
